Today was the last trip for Ryan and I for the 2006 season and we went out with a bang - a couple of them actually... The weather was perfect and we had a great crew on board - fortunately, the fish cooperated too. We found good action for halibut and ended the season in a perfect way by boating a beautiful 152 pound fish in the final minutes of the trip to finish out our limit and officially end the season for the Pursuit.

The LaVigne boys were aboard the Pursuit today and enjoyed beautiful weather and great fishing boating a limit of lings and halibut up to 111 pounds. We had lots of action and enjoyed one of the last days on the water of the 2006 season.

The water was on the sloppy side today but we managed to find some hungry halibut including the 150 pounder that Joanne boated. The fish earned her an interview and video shoot by the Travel Channel while they were here in Seward filming a segement for the new show "1000 Places to Visit Before you Die"....

We've been enjoying some great September fishing for the past few days and today was no exception. We boated a limit of lings and halibut including 4 in the 60-90 pound range. Unfortunately, a fall storm is on its way in and we likely won't be fishing for a few days until it passes.

We enjoyed another beautiful fall day on the water today and brought home a nice catch of halibut, including a 126 pounder caught on a jig.

The crew on the Pursuit today enjoyed a sunny day on the water and Cyndy made the best of it boating a 224 pound halibut near the end of the day.

A windy day on the water forced us to fish close to shore where we loaded up on "chicken" halibut and monster lings.

The crew from Chili's put food on the table today, boating a beautiful load of halibut up to 100 pounds, a few nice lings, and a 300 pound salmon shark.

We had a great day of halibut and lingcod fishing on the Pursuit today boating halibut up to 60 pounds and lots of big "uglys"...

After a couple of weather days that limited us to fishing inside the bay for salmon (if at all) we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day on the water with great fishing. We had a great halibut catch including fish up to 175 pounds, some lingcod, yelloweye, and several silvers.
