The silver salmon run here in Seward died a quick death this past week. Previously, we had been finding pockets of silvers in Puget Bay and Johnstone Bay, but the last several days the fish have become increasingly hard to find as they head for the streams. As we move into Sept. we will be focusing mainly on halibut fishing but we're still fishing a few halibut/lingcod combos as well. The halibut fishing has been steady and when the weather cooperates and lets us fish wherever we want we have been able to land some nice catches of halibut. The boats will be running through the 14th of September so there is still time to get one more trip in before the end of the season!

M/V ProFish with Capt. Kevin. The ProFish won the friendly bet among co-workers fishing on the ProFish and Swelltime today with a 130 pound halibut, beating out an 80 pounder from the other boat just as the other team was about to collect the prize.
